Montana Governor’s Veteran Commendation Award Ceremony – Moved to the Belgrade Armory
There has been a change in location for the Governor’s Award Ceremony. It has been moved to the Belgrade Armory, 350 Airport Road in Belgrade, MT. The event is still scheduled for 8:00 AM on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
September 11th Patriots Day Remembrance
Post 14 will lead the September 11th ceremonies on Friday, September 11 at 9:00AM at the Bozeman Safety Center located at 901 N. Rouse Ave. This is the 25th anniversary of the attacks. Governor Gianforte has been invited to deliver our open and closing remarks. Department of Montana Commander Irene Dickerson and District 7 Commander Don Carlson will be joining us as well. We have confirmed the Opera Montana Veteran Chorus will be performing. Please pass the word about this important event. Flyer attached.
Post 14 Honor Guard is still looking for volunteers
We are still looking for individuals to assist with Honor Guard and Color Guard requests. This is an important part of the mission of Post 14. Typically these calls require less than a 30 minute commitment. Post 14 will also supply the uniform. If your schedule allows some flexibility, please consider reaching out and assisting with this program.
District 7 Fall Meeting – September 20, 2026
The District 7 Fall meeting will be held at Gallatin Post 14 on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the regular meeting will convene at 9:00 a.m. We will likely adjourn shortly after lunch. This meeting will have information from the District and updates from other Posts within our area. Our Post will take care of the lunch fee for any members who wish to attend the District Meetings. Please RSVP via email if you are planning to attend.
Veterans Coffee Chat at The Bozeman Lodge – Every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month @ 9:30AM
This is a very informal coffee and chat and meets twice a month on Friday mornings. No agendas, just conversation.
