The Opera Montana Veterans Chorus: Celebrating military service through song, this group offers veterans a unique way to connect and share their stories.
Opera Montana Veterans Chorus
In November 2022, Opera Montana (then Intermountain Opera Bozeman) gathered currently serving and retired members of the U.S. military to perform in The Falling and the Rising. This new American opera used interviews with wounded veterans to tell true stories of strength, service, and sacrifice. Real-life servicemen and women from throughout Montana joined the principal cast to sing together in the opera’s climactic finale.
Today, the Opera Montana Veterans Chorus continues to gather and sing together twice each month. The chorus offers performances for special occasions like Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, etc.
