One of the tenants of the American Legion is SERVICE. The Montana American Legion places markers beside the road in the location of a fatality as a SAFETY reminder, not as a memorial.

Fatality Marker Clean Up…June 2025
The American Legion Highway Fatality Marker Program is entirely funded by the American Legion through fundraisers and donations, allowing the nonprofit to place markers for traffic fatality victims fatality victims at no charge to families.
